The new Starling Bank Bikes app for Greater Manchester riders launches on 8th April with the current way to hire bikes being available in the Beryl app until the 3rd June.

Here is all you need to know to get ready to move across.

Who does this affect?
This affects riders in Greater Manchester only.

When will the new Starling Bank Bikes app be available to download?
The new Starling Bank Bikes app launches on 8th April.

How long will I be able to use the Beryl app to hire bikes in Greater Manchester?

You will be able to hire bikes up until the 3rd June.

What happens if I have both apps installed?

Until the 3rd June, you will be able to hire bikes on both apps.

Will I need a new account?

No, just log-in with your Beryl account.

How do I log into my account?

We use a method called "Magic Links" to sign you into your account. You'll be prompted to enter your email address when you sign into the app. We'll then send an email to that address with a "Magic link". You should receive this email within a couple of minutes. All you need to do is click on the Magic link and you'll be signed into the app.

Will the new app be free?

Yes, the new app will be completely free to download.

I have a code I haven't used yet, what shall I do?
If you choose to redeem a code before the new app launches, your minutes will stay in your account.

What will happen to any remaining minutes in my account?

Your minutes will carry over as long as you log in to your existing account.

Will this have any impact on how I can find the bikes or how they operate?

No. The bikes, the parking bays, and how they unlock and lock will remain the same.

Will the new app work differently from the current one?
No, the app will have the same functionality as the current one.
