Looking for a smarter, more flexible way to ride with Beryl in Belfast? Our Riding Pass helps you save money and ride your way, whether you're commuting, heading out for the day, or making quick trips. There’s an option to suit every rider.
🎟️ What is a Riding Pass?
A riding pass is a prepaid bundle of minutes that lets you use Beryl pedal bikes and e-bikes in Belfast at a discounted rate compared to Pay As You Ride pricing. Once you buy a pass, the minutes are added to your account and are available to use immediately.
🎫 Available Riding Pass
Pass Type | Expiry | Cost | Unlock Fee - | Unlock Fee - | Minutes |
Annual Pass | 365 days | £120 | Free | £1 | 3000 |
Tip: The Annual Pass is ideal for saving money over time compared with pay-as-you-go. No need to think about payments each time.
🕒 When Does My Pass Start?
Your pass activates at the moment of purchase. It will remain valid for 365 days. To get the most out of your pass, we recommend buying it when you're ready to start riding.
🔋 What Happens If my pass expires?
If your pass expires:
Your pass will no longer be active.
You can buy a new pass at any time.
If you do not buy a new pass, your trips will be charged at the Pay As You Ride rates:
£0.50 to unlock, 7p per minute for a pedal bike
£1 to unlock, plus 14p per minute for e-Bikes
⏸️ Pausing Your Journey
Need to make a quick stop during your ride? You can pause your journey up to 15 minutes at a time in the Beryl app to keep the vehicle reserved while you step away. However, it’s important to note that pausing still uses your minutes.
Time spent paused continues to count towards your included minutes.
Pass Type | Paused Time Usage |
Minute Bundle | Each minute paused will deduct from your remaining minute balance. |
Annual Pass | Paused minutes are counted the same as active ride minutes. |
