Getting Started with Your Beryl e-Scooter πŸ“²

You can hire a Beryl e-scooter using the same app and account you use for Beryl pedal bikes and e-bikes. Before unlocking your first e-scooter, you will need to upload a valid driving licence to the app. Once your licence is verified, you’re ready to go.

How to Ride a Beryl e-Scooter for the First Time πŸ—’

Unlocking your e-Scooter is easy. Simply hover your phone over the sticker in the middle of the handlebars or enter the unlock code manually in the app. When you hear the chime, the e-Scooter is active and ready.

To start riding, place your foot on the scooter deck and push off with the other foot. Use the Go lever on the right handlebar to gain speed. When you need to slow down or stop, gently pull both brake levers located on the handlebars.

To end your ride, park the e-Scooter neatly in a nearby Beryl Bay shown on the app map. Tap 'End my ride' in the app and listen for the confirmation chime. Double-check the app to ensure your ride has ended and to view your trip details.

If you are new to e-Scooters or feel unsure about balancing, steering, or braking, we recommend starting with a standard Beryl Bike. Find a quiet, open space to practice before trying the e-Scooter.
