With lockdown back in place, we've partnered with Bournemouth University and Arts University Bournemouth to help NHS workers move around and get to work safely with free rides on our Beryl Bikes and Beryl e-Scooters during February 2021.
NHS workers in the BCP area will be able to claim 200 minutes free with the code BCPNHS0221.
- You must sign up with your official NHS email address to be able to redeem the code.
- The code can only be redeemed once per person.
Can I request a Beryl Bay at my place of work?
We have worked with the Trust to identify suitable bay locations on site. If you have a different place of work or a another suggestion please request a bay HERE and include 'NHS access' as the reason why.
Which NHS email addresses are valid?
Any email addresses ending nhs.uk and nhs.net will be valid, including those with additions such as uhd.nhs.uk.
If your place of work uses a different NHS email address please let us know so we can activate access.
How can I sign in if I don't have my NHS email on my phone?
To access free rides, you must sign up with your @nhs.uk / @nhs.net email address. When you sign up with that email, you'll be sent an email with a link that will log you in to the account. If you don't have your email inbox on your phone, simply click on the link from a desktop computer, re-enter your email and the app will automatically log you in.
I work for the NHS but I don't have an NHS email address.
If you work in the NHS but don't have access to an official email address, please get in touch with us at email@example.com to let us know about your situation so we can look for alternative arrangements.
Do I need to have a payment card associated with my account?
Yes, to unlock a Beryl Bike or Beryl e-Scooter you must have a valid payment card associated to your Beryl Bike account connected to your NHS email. Your card will be charged with any out of bay or out of zone fees.
We'll run a pre-authorisation check of £1 on your card to make sure it has funds before allowing you to unlock a vehicle. (This is not a charge, just a temporary hold).
Do I need to have a drivers licence to use an e-scooter?
It's a legal requirement to hold a driving licence valid for use in the UK when riding a Beryl e-Scooter. Provisional licences are accepted, however paper licences are not. Find out more about adding your licence here.
