Other charges

Convenience fee for out of bay parking: You'll be charged the convenience fee if you are on a Pay-as-you-ride or Minute Bundle pass, and end your ride outside a Beryl Bay. The convenience fee covers the operational cost incurred to return the e-scooter to a bay so another user can ride. Norwich out of bay fee: £5

Out of Beryl Zone fee: Beryl operates within large operating zones, agreed with the local authority. If you lock an e-scooter outside the operating zone, a fee will be charged. Norwich out of zone fee: £10

If the e-scooter is not brought back into the operating zone within 24 hours, an additional £80 fee will be charged to cover the cost of recovering the e-scooter.

Unlocked e-scooter fee: At the end of your ride, please make sure you lock your e-scooter correctly whether in or out of a bay. When you lock the e-scooter, it will chime to let you know. Please check in the app to make sure your e-scooter has correctly registered as locked. If you forget to lock your e-scooter and leave it unlocked, your journey will continue. Unlocked and unattended e-scooters are at higher risk of being stolen or vandalised, and will not appear as available on the app to other users who may need it.

A flat fee of £10 will be charged to cover the cost of us sending our operations team out to lock the e-scooter on your behalf. If you have accumulated a large bill due to the e-scooter being unlocked for a long period, this will be refunded and the £10 charge will be applied.
