How to Find a Beryl Vehicle πŸ”Ž

All available Beryl vehicles can be found directly in the Beryl app.

  • Bays with vehicles are shown with icons on the map.

  • Look for:

    • ⚑ for e-bikes

    • πŸ›΄ for e-scooters

  • Tap on any bay icon to see:

    • How many vehicles are available

    • The estimated battery range for e-bikes and e-scooters

You can also spot free floating vehicles by looking for the ⭐ icons on the map.

πŸ“· Unlocking with the QR code

To unlock a vehicle, tap the unlock button on the map in the app. If you have allowed camera access, the scanner will open. Simply line up the QR code in the square and the vehicle will unlock. If you have not allowed camera access, you will be prompted to enter the 6-digit ID instead.

Note that QR code may be positioned slightly differently between vehicle types.

πŸ”’ Unlocking with the Bike ID

If your phone doesn’t support contactless, no problem. You can still unlock the bike using the 6-digit unlock ID on the unlock pad.

Having Trouble? Here’s What to Do

Lock not opening
Make sure nothing is blocking the rear wheel lock (like a spoke), and try gently wiggling the lock bolt while the mechanism is activating.

Vehicle unavailable
You’ll receive an in-app message if the vehicle is out of service. It may need repair or be waiting for collection. Simply find another nearby vehicle to continue your journey.

πŸ” Filtering for Specific Vehicle Types

Looking for just an e-scooter or pedal bike? Use the filter tool in the top right corner of the map.

  • Turn filters on/off for each vehicle type

  • Filter for one or multiple types at once

  • Bays with available filtered vehicles will be shown on the map

  • A blue dot on the filter icon means you have filters active

  • No-Go Zones for your selected vehicle will also be highlighted (red areas)

Now that you know how to find and unlock Beryl vehicles, you're all set for your next adventure! πŸ’š
