Happy Green Friday! To offer an alternative to Black Friday this year, Beryl is offering an opportunity to unlock a little piece of freedom and escape (or at the least beat the queues!) with a ride.

Enjoy one up to 30 Minute free ride between Friday 29 November to Monday 2 December 2024.

Where is the free ride available?

Free rides will be available for all our vehicles in the Norwich area.

When can I claim my free ride?

Between Friday 29 November 00:00 to Monday 2 December 23:59 2024.

How do I claim my free ride?

All Beryl vehicles will automatically have up to 30 minutes and the unlock fee deducted at the end of your ride.

If you don't have an account yet, download the Beryl app here and follow the simple steps to sign up. You'll need to add your card details to hire a bike - this will only be charged if you end a ride out of a Beryl designed bay or out of the designated zone, or your ride exceeds the free period (see below).

How long can I ride for free?

The offer provides up to 30 minutes for free.

Can I ride for longer than 30 minutes?

If your ride is longer than 30 minutes, you'll be charged our standard rate for the remainder of your ride or minutes will be deducted from your minute balance.
See Pay As You Ride costs in Norwich here.

How many free rides can I take?

This offer is for one per person.

Will I have to pay out-of-bay and out-of-zone fees?

Yes, all out-of-bay and out-of-zone fees apply during the free-riding promotion.

What happens to my Minute Bundle during the promotion period?

If you already have a minute bundle, the minutes will remain in your account and will be there waiting for you to use.

Do I need to have a payment card associated with my account?

You must have a valid payment card registered on your account to unlock a bike, even during a free ride promotion. Our system will run a pre-authorisation check on your card when you attempt to unlock a bike and you must have at least £1 available on the card in order to pass this check. This is to ensure you have funds available for any out-of-bay or out-of-zone fees you incur.
