We charge a small convenience fee for parking bikes outside of a Beryl Bay. This is partly to encourage our users to make use of the many available Bays and partly to cover the cost of moving that bike back into a Bay.

When you lock the bike, it uses the onboard tracking technology to know whether it's inside or outside a bay. If you think you've been wrongly charged for parking outside a Bay then contact our support team through the app.
