In the UK, e-scooters are currently classified as Personal Light Electric Vehicles and are treated as motor vehicles. To hire a Beryl e-Scooter you must have a valid driving licence.

Providing your Licence

Before you are able to hire a Beryl e-Scooter, we require you to provide proof of your driving licence. You will be asked to take a picture of both the front and back of your licence in the app and upload it for verification.

Once your licence has been verified you will be able to hire a Beryl e-Scooter!

Provisional licences are accepted. If you have a paper license please get in touch with our customer support team for further details on how to submit your paper licence.

Please note: If you do not have a valid driving licence or your licence has not passed the verification process, unfortunately, you will not be able to hire a Beryl e-Scooter.

Important

You must not use another person's license. It is an offence to do so.
