Wondering what data we share with the DfT and why? Here's a simple breakdown to help you understand.

What is this survey?

The Department for Transport (DfT) is running a survey for users who have taken an e-scooter journey within the last 12 months. The aim is to better understand rider experiences and help shape future transport services.

How will I receive the survey?

You may receive a push notification in the app inviting you to take part. When you open the notification, the survey will appear as a pop-up within the app.

Do I have to complete the survey?

No, participation is completely optional. If you do not wish to take part, you can close the survey at any time using the “X” in the top right corner.

Will I be asked more than once?

You may be shown the survey up to three times if you choose not to complete it initially. Once you respond, you will not be asked again.

Is there an incentive for taking part?

Yes, the DfT is offering a prize draw as an incentive for completing the survey. This is managed entirely by the DfT, not Beryl.

How is my data used?

Your responses are submitted directly to the DfT and their research partners. Beryl does not store your survey answers.

For more information on how your data is handled, please see:

When will I receive the survey?

The survey will be sent to a selection of users over a planned period. There may be pauses in distribution during certain periods, with activity resuming afterwards.
