What is the Tether? 🔗
Your Segway e-bike has a built-in coiled cable tether attached to the frame. At the end of your ride, you use this cable to secure the bike at a Beryl bay before ending your journey in the app.
How to Lock Your Segway with the Tether 🚲
Step 1: Ride to your nearest Beryl bay and bring the bike to a stop.
Step 2: Locate the coiled black cable on the frame of the bike.
Step 3: Pull the cable out fully and loop it around the Beryl bay stand or anchor point.
Step 4: Insert the cylindrical plug at the end of the cable firmly into the port at the base of the black Ninebot lock unit on the stem. Push it in until it clicks securely into place.
Step 5: Open the Beryl app and tap End Ride to complete your journey.
Important Reminders ⚠️
Always lock at a Beryl bay. The tether must be secured to a designated Beryl bay to successfully end your ride. Locking elsewhere may result in continued charges.
Check the app. Your ride is not ended until the app confirms it. Always wait for confirmation before walking away.
