Weโ€™re proud to support sustainable travel, but we know itโ€™s important that Beryl e-scooters are used safely and responsibly. If you see someone misusing an e-scooter, weโ€™d really appreciate you letting us know.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“‹ The Rules at a Glance

The UK Department for Transport sets clear guidelines for the trial use of e-scooters:
โ€‹

โœ… Only rental e-scooters can be used (not privately owned ones)
โœ… Riders must hold a driving licence valid in the UK
โœ… E-scooters must be ridden on roads and in cycle lanes
โŒ E-scooters must not be ridden on pavements or in pedestrian areas
โ€‹

All Beryl riders are made aware of these rules before starting their first ride.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ Report Dangerous or Illegal Use to the Police

If you see something dangerous or unlawful:
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ž Call 999 โ€“ for emergencies or if a crime is taking place
๐Ÿ“ž Call 101 โ€“ to report after an incident has occurred
โ€‹

We work closely with local police to investigate misuse and improve safety for
everyone.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ฃ Let Beryl Know

All our vehicles are GPS tracked, which helps us identify who was riding and take action where necessary.
โ€‹

In order to identify the scooter users, we kindly ask you to now report a misuse incident via our form. We can then track the scooters in our system and contact the users.

Thanks for helping us keep the scheme safe, reliable and enjoyable for everyone ๐Ÿ’š
