When planning your ride, knowing how far your scooter will take you is key! Here's everything you need to know about battery life, how to monitor it, and what to do if it runs out during your journey. 🛴
🔍 Check Before You Ride
When browsing e-scooters in the Beryl app, you’ll see an estimated range listed for each one. This gives you a helpful idea of how far the scooter can go based on its current battery level.
⚠️ Keep in mind: The actual range can vary depending on a few things:
Your riding speed
Your weight and anything you're carrying
Hills or gradients on your route
📱 Battery Updates During Your Ride
Once your ride begins:
You can see the battery level on the scooter’s dashboard
You’ll also see an approximate range in the app
If your battery drops to 10%, we’ll notify you and show how far you can still travel
🪫What If the Battery Runs Out?
If your scooter runs out of battery while you're riding:
Try to push or manually ride the scooter to a nearby Beryl Bay if possible
If you're unable to ride it, find the nearest Beryl Bay and lock the scooter to end your journey
If you can’t reach a Bay, please end your journey in a considerate and safe location. You will be charged an out of bay or out of zone fee based on where you lock the scooter
📌 A Friendly Reminder
As per our Terms of Service, it’s your responsibility to check the scooter's battery level before you ride. If the scooter runs out of battery and you lock it outside a designated area, you will still be charged, and this will not be considered grounds for a refund.
Make smart picks before you scoot, and enjoy the ride with peace of mind 💚
