πŸ›΄ Does this apply to you?

This only applies if you’ve used a Beryl e-Scooter.
If you only ride our bikes or e-bikes, this does not apply to you.

🀝 Why do we share data?

To operate our e-scooter service in the UK, we are required to share some data with the Department for Transport (DfT).

This data helps them:

  • Understand how e-scooters are being used

  • Explore how e-scooters can support safe and sustainable travel

  • Inform future decisions about e-scooter use across the UK

πŸ“Š What data do we share?

We share pseudonymised journey data like:

  • Approximate time and location

  • Duration of the ride

  • Distance travelled

  • Linked to your Beryl account (but not your contact details)

We also share detailed journey routes, but these are not linked to your personal information in any way.

πŸ“¬ What about your contact details?

In some cases, we may share your contact details only so the DfT can invite you to take part in further research.

They will not use your contact info for any other purpose.

πŸ”’ Your privacy matters

We are committed to protecting your personal data.
You can read more about how we handle your information in our Privacy Notice
