Weβve introduced Go Slow and No Go Zones to keep Beryl rides safe and enjoyable for everyone across Bournemouth and Poole. While you can hire, ride, and park Beryl vehicles over a wide area, some places get busier than others β especially in the summer! βοΈ To protect riders, residents, and visitors, these zones help manage speed and access during peak times.

Zones in Place This Summer
π« Christchurch β No Go Zone
Christchurch is a No Go Zone for Beryl scooters at all times.
If you ride into Christchurch, your scooter will automatically slow down and come to a stop.
Youβll need to dismount and walk your scooter back into the Beryl Zone to continue your journey.
Beryl Bikes and e-Bikes are still allowed to be ridden in Christchurch as usual.
β
π’ Bournemouth & Poole Promenades β Go Slow Zone
From 1 July to 4 September, between 10 AM and 6 PM, the promenades are Go Slow Zones.
Shaded in yellow with a tortoise and clock icon.
Scooters entering these zones will automatically slow to 3 mph.
This keeps everyone safe while enjoying the busy promenade atmosphere.

β
π’ Lower Gardens & Bournemouth Town Centre β Go Slow Zone
During the school holidays, from 1 August to 4 September, scooters will slow to 7.5 km/h in these busy areas.
When leaving a restricted zone, gently press the βGoβ lever to avoid sudden acceleration.
The clock icon highlights the hours when the restrictions are in place.
